    Promila break free from traditional gender roles and changed her families’ economic well-being.

    Trailblazing Women in Agricultural Machinery Service Provision

    Ms Promila Rani Mondol, a women entrepreneur, was introduced to the CSISA-MEA project in 2018 as Machine Service Provider (MSP).  As a mother of four daughters in Faridpur, Bangladesh, she was motivated not just by a potential increase in income but by proving to her family and community that women can be useful and successful when working outside the home. She and her husband ran a small family farm and when the opportunity came from iDE to learn more about the advantages of mechanization, Promila knew this was her moment.
